Procedures

MSI provides general obstetrical, first trimester, second trimester and third trimester ultrasound examinations, as well as gynecological and breast ultrasound examinations.

Obstetrical Ultrasound

MSI performs real time imaging of the embryo/fetus, uterus, ovaries and adnexa, and performs the appropriate trimester associated biometry.

Both transabdominal and endovaginal examinations may be performed to assure proper fetal assessment.

Pelvic Ultrasound (non-pregnant)

Multiple views will be utilized to examine the uterus, ovaries, adnexa, and cul-de-sac. The uterus and ovaries will be measured in three dimensions and documented. Any pathology identified will be measured in three dimensions, and echotexture/contour of found pathology will be documented.

Both transabdominaland endovaginal examinations may be performed to assure proper assessment of the pelvis. A full bladder is required for optimal diagnostic quality with the transabdominal approach.

Breast Ultrasound

Multiple views will be obtained of the area of interest (mammogram finding or physical finding). Any identified mass will be measured in all 3 planes. Color flow Doppler and Spectral flow analysis will be utilized in assessing findings.
